Surviving Hitler’s Hell
December 31, 2009 - 14 Tevet, 5770Going With God
August 17, 2008 - 16 Av, 5768In these trying times, as we struggle from family problems to the culture wars to financial trials caused by the economic collapse of America that is currently in it’s beginning stages,it is easy to be consumed by our problems and forget that God is ultimately in charge of our affairs. Below is a sermon preached by Pastor Earl Bunch of the Bridge Community Church that challenges us to believe that The Lord orders our steps and His Spirit “…choreographs our lives…”
I am Watching Independence Day on the 4th of July
July 4, 2008 - 1 Tamuz, 5768Today I am watching Independence Day this 4th of July. This is a tradition I have had since 2000. What I like about this movie is that some of the most unlikely people become heroes that save the world. The most touching scene is where Russell Casse decides to lay down his life to save the day. This reminds me of the passage in 1 Cor 1:18-31 Where we are told that God uses people and things regarded as weak and foolish by the world and uses them to win the day. Here is the playlist for the whole movie
Commentary on John 10-11
April 28, 2008 - 23 Nisan, 5768In this commentary on chapters 10-11 there are some powerful lessons about walking in faith:Because God loves us He acts for our good. The Word of God is a sure anchor. God often allows negative circumstances to pile up in order to show His glory through the victory. God will often stack or allow the deck to be stacked against us.

Patterns of the Saints
April 7, 2008 - 2 Nisan, 5768When one studies the lives of the saints in the scriptures, a clear pattern commonly emerges as they walk towards victory. There are three stages as they fight the good fight of faith. There is the initial move of faith followed by a season of trials in the wilderness. At the end of this season the child of God reaches the turning point where God brings the victory.

Overcoming Obstacles to the Faith Driven Life

His word enters our hearts and begins to take root. There are four possible outcomes to the injection of the Word of God:Those who reject faith, those who fall away because of opposition, those who are distracted because of the lusts of the flesh and the cares of the world and those who overcome those obstacles. This article will focus on the outcomes of those who begin to live the faith driven life and how to take the steps to overcome those obstacles

Believing in Hope Against Hope
Living the Faith Driven Life is not without it’s struggles. In fact God’s plan for the Faith Driven Life perfectly anticipates struggles and in fact exploits these struggles to achieve victory and give glory to God
There is a process similar to childbirth that results in faith that overcomes the world: There is the injection of the seed of God’s Word. Then there is the initial euphoria as the believer begins to own God’s vision as his or her hope. The opposition that devastates faith. The crisis that brings the issue to a head. Finally, if the believer persists in faith, the victory and successfully accomplishes the vision.

Think out of the Box
August 22, 2008 - 21 Av, 5768The Children of Israel got a lesson in thinking outside of the box when God delivered out of bondage through the hand of Moses. After the ten plagues and after the Passover, when the Israelites reached the shores of the Red Sea, they found themselves in a predicament. The sea was blocking their path in front of them and the Egyptian army was pursuing them from behind. They were in what seemed to be an impossible situation. (Exodus 14)
